PocketGamer says that the recently concluded Game Developer Conference (GDC) had a interesting bit of news. It seems that Apple is executing its plans of launching a in-house game controller in April and secretly talking to various developers at GDC to ensure many games to be compatible with its controller at launch. It is believed that the annually scheduled event in April that is dedicated to the iPad will also announce Apple’s game controller as per PocketGamer. With the explosion of third-party controllers and peripherals like Ouya and GameStick apart from plans from rival companies like Samsung it is quite possible that Apple might actually be announcing its own game controller in the future.
Apple always wanted to portray iOS devices as a contending gaming platform and the leading mobile gaming platform, with a dedicated game controller that can double up as a living room device with extended functionality it would be worth owning one. With the recent leaks in security of leaked photos of almost all of Apple devices since the last two or three years, Apple has been maintaing tight security by not allowing its hardware out of secured areas.
We are expecting Apple to announce its April event soon that will mostly concentrate on its plan to push iPads further into the market with refreshed models. Apart from that we hope to hear some good news with surprise launches as well, may be an Apple TV? May be a Apple game controller? Or may be a Apple iWatch?
